When Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga), an outsider from humble beginnings, marries Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver), she enters a glamorous world of money, decadence and excess. But Patrizia’s relentless ambition begins to unravel not only their marriage, but the entire family business – setting in motion a series of events that ultimately ends in murder.

Spanning three decades of love, betrayal and revenge, we see what a name means, what it’s worth, and how far a family will go for control.

this is Lady Gaga’s film: her watchability suffuses the picture, an arrabbiata sauce of wit, scorn and style.

thanks in no small part to a mesmerising performance from Lady Gaga, Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci has made melodrama fashionable again.
