Indulging the rebel within;
honouring sweet mothers;
Healing through love;
and the lamentation of a tortured artist.
The night will feature screenings of Bump, Endures, Gele, and Thorns For a Crown directed and choreographed by DK Fashola.
This will be followed by an eclectic range of live performances from Black British artists responding to the themes/emotions the films evoke, including movement, mic ignited storytelling, a musical theatre experience and more!
Performing artists include: Tyrone Issac Stuart, Selina Jones, Joseph Barnes-Phillips, Zakkiyah Deen, Luke Wilson and Ewa Dina.
Film collaborators include: Archie Short, Josh Kinsella, Alex Adjei, Elliott Banks and Harrison Dante.
A woman of many talents.
(DK’s) stylistic choices as a filmmaker are only amplified by her versatile choreography.
