Femi and Nicky’s creative partnership has its roots in their debut feature film IT’S A LOT, which was released theatrically by Kaleidoscope in 2013 and was eventually sold to Netflix.

They have since written, co-directed and co-produced a sequel of feature films, THE INTENT and THE INTENT 2; becoming its own franchise that had since generated over £3 million independently. The 2016 feature film THE INTENT, was released to unprecedented success opening to sold-out cinemas and landing at number 3 on the iTunes Movies Chart. After its UK release, Netflix acquired the film for the world. The film was fully financed, produced, and independently distributed by Nicky and Femi. They also A&R’d a soundtrack for the film.

It was swiftly followed by the prequel THE INTENT 2: THE COME UP, which was shot on location in the UK and Jamaica. The funding model of the film was unique, with the guys receiving full financial backing from Darcus Beese and his team at Island Records UK. It opened as the number one film in major UK cities and became one of the highest grossing British films of the year. It was also sold to Netflix in a multi-territory deal and picked up several awards including ‘Best Film’ at the MVISA awards as well as three awards, including ‘Best Action’ at the National Film Awards.

Most recently the duo has received commissions from Channel 4 (Rap to Riches) and BET U.K. (The Evolution of Black British Music) to produce and direct documentary series which aired this year to record viewings.

The duo will be sharing their knowledge about creative finance, securing commissions in tv and their unique ability to combine film, culture and music.
