You’re Projecting Film Club are throwing it back to the British rebel schoolgirl movie that defined all other British rebel schoolgirl movies (literally just Wild Child). The newly established queer collective have dug up St Trinian’s (2007) and its earliest predecessor, The Belles of St Trinian’s (1954) for a night of high-camp-drag-cabaret-mayhem.edu

Celebrating 70 years since the original 1954 film (who knew??), Defenders of Anarchy will take you on a journey from the problematic 1950s, to the equally problematic 2000s as we screen The Belles of St Trinian’s BACK-TO-BACK with St Trinian’s.

Our gorgeous lineup of performers, go-go dancers, DJs and hosts will be up to no good, providing entertainment throughout and making sure we clock every single queer, trans, and generally camp overtone contained in these films.

Expect non-regulation hockey sticks, bad school dinners, detentions, demerits and drag anarchy. Try to imagine: Gemma Arterton, on the bar at Superstore, absolutely sending it to the Girls Aloud Megamix. That’s the vibe.

More information, performers, DJs and surprises to be announced soon.
