It was first performed at the Turner Contemporary Gallery in March 2020 and was later made into a film in response to the global uprising following the murder of George Floyd.
Freedom Road Reimagined features an incredible live band bringing to life protest anthems, with photography from the esteemed Vanley Burke and Charlie Phillips alongside Richard Birch and young photographer Shaïny Vilo and impactful monologues from young Black British voices, creating the backdrop for what is a truly entertaining yet provocative show.
