A practical primer workshop on intimacy directing and coordination with Ita O’Brien (Watchmen, Gentleman Jack, Sex Education).

Adapted for lower budget short film productions, we will learn techniques and have open conversation about choreographing physical intimacy on screen, best practice for safe rehearsals and staging sexual content, and fortifying inclusive, comfortable filming environments – even with a low budget, small crew and short run-time.

Open to all working within the short film production cycle – from DoPs, writers, actors and directors.

Ita O’Brien is an Intimacy Coordinator and Movement Director for film, television, and theatre. For the last five years she has been developing best practice when working with intimacy, scenes with sexual content, and nudity in film, TV, and theatre and is the author of the Intimacy on Set Guidelines. O’Brien pioneered the role of Intimacy Coordinator, which is gaining adoption in leading production houses.”
