Throughout history, we have seen technological products and accessories become more compact and portable and in recent years – more boring. Most cultures have a rich history of visual vibrancy and decor throughout their garments, jewellery and interiors. This workshop will address the lack of diverse cultural representation in modern technology by inviting POC & QTPOC to re-design hardware and electronics. Participants will be shown a variety of digital 3D modelling tools to bring their designs to life!
Attendees will be encouraged to explore and celebrate their own culture/sub-culture/identity/ethnicity/class in their designs.
No prior experience is necessary. If you have your own laptop or tablet that you can bring please do – if not we are able to provide devices.
