In light of the new government announcement this event has been moved online. If you have signed up to attend we will contact you directly. Please bear with us while we work through these changes.

Rich Mix is teaming up with The People Speak art group to invite young people aged 16-25 in Tower Hamlets to Talkaoke*, a television-style talk show, where everyone is a special guest!

The format is simple: the host sits in the middle of a round table, and you join online, and talk about whatever comes up. The conversation is a journey from one unexpected subject to another: it can be topical, funny, deep, surreal, or something else. We use instant visualisations and sound effects to bring every chat to life.

Talkaoke is an interactive talk-show, which uses 23 years of experience in articulating the collective imagination, informing decision making in the public and cultural spheres, and empowering young people to use their voice and creativity in addressing important topics.

Talkaoke has toured festivals, youth hubs, galleries, conferences, street corners around the world. The People Speak is currently working in Newham and Tower Hamlets, training young facilitators.

Join us online for an evening of discussion, connection and imaginative exploration of future. This will be an opportunity to find out more about the Rich Mix New Creatives Programme 2021 and meet the programme leaders.

*Note: You will need a laptop or a tablet and good Wi-Fi connection
