After the pre-spring blossoming of our theme Turaab – New Earth, New Soil, this summer launch presents Barbaarinta – All Flourishing is Mutual, Numbi Arts’ special consideration of culture’s role in designing environments of growth.

We kick off the festival with a series of literary salons with a stellar array of poets and authors including the brilliant Asha Luul and the inimitable Hassan Mohamed Alto highlighting the best in Somali Literature and Orature.

Habeenka Dhaqanka at RICH MIX  is an evening of culture with live music, film, dance, spoken word and good company including the legendary Dur-Dur Band, Anab Uud Dance Troupe, resident Numbi Arts poets Sai Murray, Sam Elmi and Elmi Ali. Plus a special appearance from British Somali boxing sensation Ramla Ali.
