Our Journeys is an eight-week creative local history and textiles project, for local parents, to learn about local history and explore our place in this by sharing our stories of migration to Tower Hamlets. Personal and shared views, experiences and memories will inspire this collaborative textiles project, to create a StoryTent, to be showcased in a public exhibition at Rich Mix.
Rich Mix and Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives will support the sessions alongside training in textiles skills and knowledge with artists Teresa Hare Duke and Jakia Khanom.
Join in if:
- you want to understand more about different cultures and local history
- you want to get creative (no previous experience necessary)
- you want to make new friends with local parents
- you want to have fun at your local arts centre!
The taster session will run from 10am – 12pm.
