It takes its name from Elvis Costello’s anti-war song and responds to COVID-19, Brexit and Black Lives Matter – current goings-on that have been likened to war. The wider programme seeks to explore what it is to be British and diverse in these challenging times.
This festival is the final presentation in a yearlong programme that has looked at what it means to be British in the 21st Century. The festival features contemporary dance from Alleyne Dance, DICK – One Man in 1000, poet Abstract Benna and Black Sheep by Livia Kojo Alour (formerly MisSa Blue).
