This year marks the 20th anniversary of Shooting People, one of the UK’s most established independent filmmaker networks. To celebrate, they’ve launched SHORT CUTS, a year long quarterly film competition and event series, in partnership with Rich Mix.
At the final SHORT CUTS event of the year – December 4 – Shooting People will be announcing both the winner of the October competition and the overall winner of 2018, who will walk away with a £1,000 prize.
For this special end of year event will feature a film screening, networking and a Q&A with the legendary Academy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning producer/director, Stephen Woolley.
Stephen is well known for his collaborations with Neil Jordan, including the Academy Award winning THE CRYING GAME, along with MONA LISA and INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. His most recent credits including producing CAROL, directed by Todd Haynes, and COLETTE, starring Keira Knightley, which will be released across the UK in January 2019.
