The project invites 10 care experienced young people to write, edit & perform their own work over 3 days. This will feature as a guest piece on care leaver Kamari Romeo’s new album.
On the third day the body of work will be recorded at a London studio and then released on an exciting digital platform in Feb 2020.
No previous experience is necessary but participants must commit to all 3 days and must be within the age range of 15 – 21.

The aim of this project is about taking our experiences as young people in care, examining them with honesty, and putting them back with a better understanding. Talking about these experiences can sometimes be upsetting and there may be people in the group that will discuss the difficult circumstances which led them into care through their poetry. We will have an on site mental health professional on hand if you are feeling overwhelmed during the workshop.
