EVENT 1 *Gharana concerts*
Performances start at 3pm where audiences will experience the complexity, depth, and beauty of an Indian classical music concert with Dhrupad Khayal and Thumri. It will focus on one dhrupad gharana (Dagar) and two khayal gharanas: Agra and Patiala, and thumri gharanas. Performed by the very best artists from the UK, Kirit Singh, Jasdeep Singh, Mehboob Nadeem, and Chiranjeeb Chakraborty, the events aim to be insightful, educational, and totally exhilarating.
EVENT 2 *Light-classical music*
The gharana concerts will turn into a lighter event with local artists led by Chiranjeeb Chakraborty who will end the day with timeless compositions by of Bengali composers, with Sanjoy Dey, Laboni Barua, Rikta Mukherjee, Shahadat Hussain Masum, Piya Mayenin, Yousuf Ali Khan, Kiran Thakrar and more…
