Hosted by Sharika Alam, come along to hear songs from up-and-coming musicians, plus DJ Samia Ahmed mixing your favourite Bengali tunes – sent in by you.
Samia is a Bengladeshi DJ, Broadcaster and Animation Producer. She’s also part of the core team at Daytimers.
The line-up also includes Propa Rezwana Anwar and Shakila K.
Shakila K. born in east London to Bangladeshi parents and is a recent graduate of The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. Shakila has released several original tracks starting from the age of thirteen!
Shakila has sung live in many prestigious venues from Club Wembley to the Royal Albert Hall. Shakila has also sung live on many radio stations including many BBC stations. Shakila has also been featured as a showcase on NTV a national Bengali tv channel. Shakila has performed at many festivals incuding Boishakhi Mela twice.
Shakila has done lots of charity work from raising money for the victims of the Nepal earth quake in 2015 to organising a concert to raise money for survivors of Grenfell Tower.
