Being Me

In 2016 we worked with young people from Morpeth School and renowned Bangladeshi photographer, writer and activist Shahidul Alam in partnership with DRIK, for a year-long creative collaboration.

The result was the photographic exhibition Being Me. Curated and staged by the students, it showed their own work exploring the concept of identity and personal stories. The project gave them the chance to experience mentorship across workshops held in the classroom, on location, in the darkroom and in our gallery space.

Being Me was an exhibition by Yunus Amin, Nasrin Ali, Christopher Thomas, Charlie Hoadley, Akash Hossain, Sayeid Shahriyar and Rashidul Nihal Islam.
