Ribbon Dance is one of the oldest traditional Chinese dances. Using Ribbon sticks participants will learn some basic skills and traditional Chinese movements in this fun and interactive workshop.
Originating over a thousand years ago, it became popular in the palaces of the Han dynasty (206BC – 220AD). It was used during times of celebration.
Our Everyone a Maker programme of family learning workshops focusses on a sense of playfulness and curiosity, developing skills and knowledge about different ‘making ‘ technologies and practice. Parents/carers create with and alongside their children. Come along and have fun together!
Suitable for children aged 5+. Please wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in.
