This summer we’re working with Paint the Change and Halima Khanom plus more community partners to create a giant community mural on the front of our building.
We want to welcome you back as we come out of lockdown. This mural will celebration of all identities, and we want as many people as possible to be part of it!
Come down to one of our family workshops and be guided through a creative exploration of identity and our local area.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
Please bring along an object or a photograph that best represents your identity – we’ll supply all the art materials and guide you through the creative exploration of our local area, share stories and most importantly have fun!
Suitable for Families / groups with children aged 7+
Halima Khanom has over 10 years of experience and is interested in using heritage as a way of engaging socially isolated and marginalised groups with place, particularly their own locale.
Paint the Change is a global street art project for social justice. We believe that public art can play a powerful role in stimulating discussions around urgent social issues. A mural is not just a work of art: it becomes a social and digital event and a focus for dialogue and progress.
