In December, Skin Deep and Resolve launched their first creative online season around the theme ‘local,’ celebrating how diaspora communities in the UK have shaped and continue to shape local urban spaces and their built environment, particularly in areas where there are real issues of unequal access to resources, decision-making and power.

One of the commissions is a short film exploring the realities of existing and working in shared creative spaces with your children/younger generations. After screening the short film there will be a conversation around the process of making it, and ways of telling community stories, in collaboration with local group MAIA.

Skin Deep makes space for Black creatives and creatives of colour to work towards justice through cultural production, and build capacity for artists and activists in London and globally to think beyond crisis and survival, and dream of just futures.

Resolve is an interdisciplinary design collective that combines architecture, engineering, technology and art to address social challenges.

This is an unreserved seated event.
