A panel discussion covering how class issues interconnect with and compound other axes of oppression and exclusion, and what we can do to challenge this.

 

Wed 19 Jan:

Talk 1: After the Circuit – Distribution for Short Films 

While feature films have a traditional circuit of release going from production to festivals and then to cinemas, short films have a more fluid life cycle.What happens after the circuit?

Talk 2: Collectively Doing It Differently 

Whether it’s building a DIY digital archive, leading radical debates on othering, or launching a production company, our speakers have built impactful work as a direct response to the need for wider representation and conversation around radical change.

we sit down with three of the show’s directors (Kate HerronRunyararo Mapfumo and Ben Taylor) and discuss how Sex Education has served as a stepping stone for their own careers, opening up opportunities for young filmmakers behind the camera, as well as conversations in front.
