A young refugee girl living in an orphanage in Kolkata writes a letter to her grandmother, not knowing if they’ll ever meet again.

Elsewhere, a young Kashmiri boy struggles with life in the volatile region. When the two meet, they form an unlikely bond and dream of a life beyond their countless hardships.

Through their story Fire of Teak, Flame of Chinar finds the heart and humanity amidst hardship.
