Co-Artistic Directors Shane Shambhu and Nina Head, along with guest curator Parbati Chaudhury, arrange this first-of-a-kind festival which sees young British Asian artists take over Rich Mix to explore fresh perspectives on South Asia’s artistic legacy. The weekend includes artist workshops exploring process, collaboration and interdisciplinarity and a retrospective programme featuring screendance by Shobana Jeyasingh Dance and re-stagings from Nina Rajarani MBE and Pushkala Gopal. Evening events include an eclectic cabaret, curated and compèred by Raheem Mir, and an open-stage night bringing together South Asian dance and spoken word, presented with Apples & Snakes.
